Hello Irene,

By the time you are reading this, you will already know that I've created this blog as a Christmas present to you. However, this is far more than just a one-time Christmas present.  As Cousin Eddie would say, "that's the gift that keeps on giving the whole year".  I know that in the past we have talked about doing a website and you have also come across numerous blogs with useful tips and information.  I think...actually, I know that you have come across SO much information that all of it combined would be extremely useful not only for our family, but for others when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle....so why not share it?  You are so passionate about this topic and that passion will be evident in the posts that follow, the suggestions that you write and the recipes that you share.  I hope that you will use this blog to continue to share the information that you have gathered over the past number of years.  There are so many options out there for healthy alternatives to everything from snacks and meals to household cleaning products and home remedies for colds.  I have seen first hand the amount of time that you put into researching this kind of lifestyle for our family, and I am so incredibly thankful for the effort that you have put into that.  Our girls have no idea how lucky they truly are to be home with you every day.  I see how often your peers come to you for advice on meal suggestions, specific ingredients, where to buy different products or just general health related questions.  It's a testament to the lifestyle that you've created for our family and you should be proud of that.

I know that I'm proud of you.....the world needs more Irenes.
